Prof. Dr. Ralf Bartenschlager was honoured with the Lasker-Award, the most prestigious prize for medical research within the USA. His research on replication of Hepatitis C virus provided the foundation for development of pharmaceutical components for hepatitis treatment and finally the cure for chronical liver infection.
