Heidelberg malaria researcher Dr. Victoria Ingham has been awarded a highly endowed ERC Starting Grant from the European Research Council.
The grant supports excellent young scientists at the start of their career for five years and is endowed with 1.5 million Euros.

It has been awarded to Dr. Ingham to support her translational research on Malaria, which focusses on the complex effects of insecticides
and insecticide resistance on the intricate interactions between mosquito host and malaria parasite.
Dr. Ingham is a junior research group leader at the Infectious Disease Center of the Heidelberg University Hosital and project leader of SFB1129 project 23.
